The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a modern touch (hotel was still undergoing renovations while we were there). Bed was large and comfortable, sleep quality good. Air conditioning is not noisy like other places I've stayed at. I liked the coffee/tea machine, easy to use. I couldn't work out all the controls on the Japanese-style toilet though!
Hot water takes quite a while to come out of the shower. Rooms facing Kalakaua Ave can be subject to street noise at night (loud cars, drunk people shouting) but didn't disrupt sleep too much. A few additional items would make the stay more comfortable in rooms with a kitchenette: some dishwashing detergent, a dish scrubber, a colander and another chair. Two people cannot sit down at the desk to eat when there is only one chair!
Location very handy to bus stops on Saratoga Rd around the corner - to key destinations such as Pearl Harbour, Diamond Head, Ala Moana Center, Hanauma Bay.
I would gladly stay again if visiting Oahu in future.More
