Brought my kids here because it’s been a while since they had been to a Japanese Steakhouse. We had a blast with our chef Carlos and our server Sean. They were wonderful!! Funny and attentive. Food was tasty and not over cooked. Yes it’s a little expensive but you’re in Honolulu!

If you are happy to get involved, enjoy the spectacle of your food being prepared and cooked right in front of you, this place is for you. Its a little noisy but thats because its busy and everyone is enjoying themselves. The food is superb.

We went for lunch, because it's less expensive. The service was really good. The Chef was funny, and really good. The food was excellent. In Honolulu knowing what to expect at a restaurant is rare. At Benihana's it was even better than we were expecting

We dined at Benihana restaurant & had their Teppanyaki (the chef cooks in front of about 8 people). We had their Chateubriand w/a lobster tail which was served with soup, salad, mushrooms, veggies, & fried rice accompanied with 2 different dipping sauces. The steak & lobster were cooked to perfection & the dipping sauces were very tasty. The chef was great as he performed tricks with his knife & cooking utensils. It was an enjoyable evening & the food was delicious.

Ichiban / Koby are identical to this place - paid way more $4 for the same thing I could get at home
