This is an old (not in a charming way) hotel. The lobby was updated-modern-fun. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all hours. The hotel has two fast elevators.
Our floor hallway was colorful, but, unfortunately, smelled of deep-fried seafood. Our room was a good size, but the carpet was filthy--they need a good shampooing, or better yet, ditch the carpet and replace with hardwood floors, which are easier to clean and make for a healthier environment.
The bed was large, but too soft; there were loads of non-feather pillows, which is great for allergy sufferers. The nightstands on each side of the bed both had power outlets--excellent for two people charging phones and devices at beside! The room had a coffeemaker & mini-fridge, and the closet had a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. Our room had a balcony, which was a nice addition but wasn't very relaxing, as it overlooked a carpark and other hotel rooms.
The bathroom had a shower/tub combo that was free of mold--good job, housekeeping! There was ample counter space, which was great for setting out toiletries during a longer stay. The towels were nice and absorbent. The toilet paper was rough on the bum; the hotel needs to provide guests with soft toilet paper.
The free WiFi worked well. The hotel has a valet carpark for $30 per night.
Though I'd prefer to stay at a nicer hotel, this property is in a decent location amongst the action and just a short walk to the beach. If the price is right, I might stay here again.
