We often stay at Fairfield Inn Binghamton. It's become our go to "home away from home" on our trips from Toronto to New York. (see my reviews there). This time, our timing made us make the decision to drive a little further and we wanted to see if our positive experience would be duplicated. It was. Nice, freshly decorated rooms. Comfortable beds, sheets and pillows. Clean inviting bathrooms with everything a traveler needs. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Keep it up, Fairfield Marriot!

Great service all around! The rooms were clean, spacious, and really nice. The bathrooms and showers were excellent too! Everyone at the front desk was really helpful, and definitely made us feel right at home during our stay. Be sure to book a room at this Fairfield Inn during your trip to Scranton!

I booked this hotel because the listing on this site said they had an indoor, heated pool. When I arrived, the desk clerk informed us that they did not have a pool as the hotel had converted it into a fitness center. If we want to use an indoor pool, we have to go outside, behind the building and use the pool at the Marriott’s property next door, The Residence Inn. It is January in Pennsylvania right now with a temperature of fifteen, yet it feels as though it is three degrees!!!! I wouldn’t have booked this hotel if I had known that I would have to wear a winter coat and boots to inconveniently trudge through the snow, outside of the hotel I am staying at, walk behind the building, and then use the pool at another hotel. I’m incensed that TripAdvisor didn’t update this hotel listing, and that the hotel didn’t post updated the list of amenities and ensure that guests weren’t deceived as I have just been.

Clean and conveniently located, beds were extremely comfortable. Love the Paul Mitchell products in the bathrooms. Staff is great! The place looks newly renovated. Nice free breakfast and coffee available in lobby all hours. Only negative is the damn snow plows and/or construction vehicles have torn up the parking lot, be careful of the potholes. They give you 250 extra points for not electing to have rooms cleaned...I will take points! Only a two day stay.

We had an unexpected stay when our bus experienced a mechanical failure and we had to put up for the night. Grateful 30 rooms were available to accommodate our group. Appreciated that there was still food available in the breakfast area at 8 p.m. and we were able to make a late supper of cold cereal, yogurt, apples, and to enjoy a cup of hot tea. The room was nice with a king-size bed and a good-sized bathroom with mostly eco-friendly supplies (shampoo, body wash in refillable bottles instead of the traditional small individual portions). Breakfast was pretty typical fare and included scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, cold cereal, packets of oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit (cantaloupe and honeydew melon), bread, mini-muffins, juice, coffee and tea. We would stay here again if the need arose.
