Description: P.F. Chang's is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang's chefs hand-roll dim sum, hand chop and slice all vegetables and meats, handcraft every sauce and wok-cook each recipe, every day in every restaurant using fresh ingredients. With roots in Chinese cooking, the culinary landscape at P.F. Chang's now stretches across Asia with diverse, culturally inspired recipes including hand-rolled sushi, Vietnamese-style soups and bowls, traditional Chinese dim sum, wok-fired chicken and beef entrees, and family style noodles and rice. All made from scratch every day.

It took 20 mins to get our water after we ordered it. The place was empty. We ordered soup appetizers rice and our main course. We got our main course rice and appetizers at the same time. Our main course was cold (crispy honey chicken). Then maybe 10 mins later we got our soup. We asked to speak to the manager. He did not seem to care much at all. He took the soups rice a main course (crispy honey chicken) off the bill.

A group of 14 of us dined at PF Changs. The service was good considering the size of the group. I had shrimp Tempura/rice bowl. It was delicious. All of us in our group were pleased with our meals. I would return to PF Changs Thousand Oaks. The restaurant is located across the street from Gardens of the World and near the performing arts theatre.

Seriously. First, the decor is sumptuous: outdoors, towering Han-dynasty horses at the front entrance, a Koi pond with a waterfall, a fountain and a bridge, ducks, flowers, shrubbery, manicured paths; indoors, a large 40-foot mural over the bar, massive Samurai statues, high ceilings, a fireplace... But of course, you're here for the food, and it doesn't disappoint: every dish is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, and their menu covers every imaginable Chinese dish from Szechuan, Hunan and Mandarin cuisines, plus Sushi and other Japanese dishes. They also have a great tea selection, a better-than-average wine and beer list, and good desserts. Highly recommended!!!

We had three couples in our party on a Saturday night and our experience was perfect.

We had made reservations, so we didn’t have to worry about the wait and our table was ready the moment we walked in the door.

The wait staff was awesome. Friendly, patient, and fast. We didn’t once wonder where our waiter was or wished that someone would show up to refill drinks or to bus dishes. And this was on a BUSY Saturday night.

Speaking of which: my initial thought when we walked in was “this is going to be crowded and noisy”, yet, there really wasn’t that feeling at all. Once we were sat, the fact that it was crowded wasn’t an issue at all.

The food! Yum! We always do a family style dinner and it was great to try a little bit of a lot of different dishes. There wasn’t anything I tried that I didn’t absolutely love.

For those reading, I hope our visit wasn’t an anomaly. But after reading other reviews , it sounds like a pretty consistent restaurant.

I can’t wait to return.

Thank Joe G
