We travelled to San Antonio from the Seattle area because my son was graduating from the Air Force.
With 10 people in attendance, we found this house as a fantastic way for us all to stay in one place.
The price was half of what it would be if we were in a hotel. The only downside between a hotel is no pool - and let's face it, San Antonio gets hot! However, we were so busy with all the military things and sight seeing, we didn't have time to swim in a pool anyway.
The owners, Ms. Edith, is absolutely lovely. She was quick and easy to communicate with and gave me lots of great suggestions on where to go in San Antonio. Next-door-neighbor, Ms. Sherri is wonderful and funny!
The house is everything you need - plenty of sleeping space and all the kitchen and bathrooms you could need. We never got the wifi to work (the password is superlong, but we have some pretty tech-savvy teenagers with us and nobody could get it to connect) and that was unfortunate, because we nowadays we really rely on the internet for directions, communication, even banking. We all had smartphones on us, but it would have been nice to let off our dataplan for a week by tapping into wifi.
It wasn't enough to ruin our trip - not even close!! The house is about 30 minutes from Lackland AirForce base and you'll get really good at navigating those freeways if you have a good GPS system.
We didn't spend a lot of time outside (again...it's hot there. 97 degrees) and we didn't even cook a meal, but the kitchen was clean and we stored food in the fridge which was lovely.
I would recommend anybody staying here - especially if you have a big family that wants to stay in one place. Thank you Edith and Sherry for being so hospitable!
