This is a huge venue for a basketball game. The view of the court from most locations is from a long distance, but they do have large screens to watch the action. It is very challenging, and a long walk to get to the entrance of the facility.

We attended the 2017 Alamo Bowl football game and had a mixed experience. First, we had difficulty getting to and then navigating around the stadium because of so much road construction. It was made worse because of the one-way streets so if you make one wrong turn, you are in trouble and waste lots of time attempting to double back around in stand-still traffic. Once we were parked in a private lot ($10) we had a pretty good hike to the stadium although we had friends with parking passes and they said getting in and out of their parking spot was a nightmare so we may have been better off with the hike. We had no trouble getting through security or the ticket area and luckily we entered the stadium on the same side where our seats were so had a very short walk once inside. The sightlines for our seats were better than I anticipated. We purchased them through TCU and were afraid they wouldn't be the best seats but they were fine. One negative was that our section had what seemed like a dozen beer concessions but only one for food. To get to a shorter line or different food options, you were forced to walk a long way. This isn't a bad deal for those who want to drink and I did have a couple of beers but for those who just want some food - it wasn't a great setup. Stadium was just meh with the best part of the night being the Frogs got the win!

Have been going the last several years and this is a much better spot than Austin. More parking, less traffic, more eateries within walking distance. The event is never a sell-out which also makes the experience more enjoyable.

On my way to the Alamo Bowl, the San Antonio Police did everything in their power to make it difficult. When I finally found a parking lot about half a mile from the stadium, there was only one small break in the fence to get from its residential area to the street bordering the stadium. The grounds of the stadium are very hilly with deplorable signage, so I wandered around before I found a long downhill ramp to a severe upwards staircase to a stadium entrance area. I had a ticketing problem (their tickets are mobile only and my phone had crashed) and it took quite a search to find where to take care of it. The stadium itself is domed, so it was comfortable watching the game on the chilly night. The sight lines are good. The staff is friendly enough, but most were incapable of being helpful.
