So this was the first thing we did in Salem and I must say maybe one of the best. This and the night ghost walk covers it all. We went to other things but the 2 mention above pretty much covers it all. This one is very good gives you the history of the witch trials.

Visiting Salem with a teen and a tween. The tween was skeptical of this place, but once the presentation started, was hooked. Love the dioramas, but could probably do without the guided tour portion. The museum covered was small enough that one could have walked through self guided. I’m guessing they keep it that way for when the crowds come through in October to ease crowd control. Either way, the presentation was worth it. Recommended.

We went on the tour and it was informative. There are 2 parts to the tour. The first part of the tour is with everyone sitting. The second part is a glimpse of witches through time. I would recommend it to anyone coming to Salem

Not a big deal. I expected more. Gave an account of the infamous trials, but crammed certain political views. The gift shop was nice.

The Salem Witch Museum was a little cheesy, but it's something (it seems) you have to do once. As a Christian, though, their depictions of the devil, demonic symbols, and witchcraft made me a little uncomfortable. But, I have to give them the fact that their gift shop is very cute.
