We have been to Red Fin Crudo a couple of times in the last month and both times it has been great. We sat at the bar the first time with Kevin and when I ordered my Tito's with club soda with a couple of lemons for flavor he asked if he could muddle the fruit for me and it made a world of difference. All his suggestions were spot on, especially the octopus app which is definitely large enough for an entree. The second time there we sat at a table with other friends we brought and the server was just as great and helpful. This time a couple of people ordered the burger and said it was the best they have ever had, of course I ordered 1 order of Octopus for the table and we ended up ordering 2 more plates. The only down side is the menu is a bit on the small size but have enjoyed everything they have had to offer so far.

Went for a quick dinner prior to an event at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Were greeted, seated and invited to ask questions about the menu as our drinks were delivered. They have some original and delicious drink offerings. Ourwaiter, Kevin, make excellent recommendations on plates we might want (tapas) and wine pairings. The music was Latin and somehow pulled the ambiance all together.
We told Kevin that we had a "hard stop" on the back end for the show and there was no challenge getting the food out (note: we were there before the dinner crowd had arrived). In short, a very pleasurable experience which we will repeat in the future with friends.

This is the place to eat when in Providence. Our server was Michou and he was spot on. Normally when we go out we ask the server to order our food and surprise us. We have had really good luck doing this. After all, who know the food better? Answer = employees. Well, he started us with their drink special which had cantaloupe that was great for a cool March day. Brought memories of summer. First course was scallop ceviche, awesome presentation and taste was on point. Then he brought out the pork belly, OH MY! What a flavor contrast and worked really well after the scallop ceviche. We had room for one more dish and since I love beets, I asked him about the roasted beets which just made this dinner perfect. We were asked about an after dinner cocktail and quickly responded with a yes.

If you go ask for Michou and let him order for you. I dont think you could go wrong with him.

This is a very inventive kitchen. Not afraid to step outside the lines and put their own spin on conventional dishes.
The calamari had a unique and very tasty sauce. The Rockefeller was done with cherrystones instead of oysters. The fish tacos were made with different flavors and toppings that made every bite a wow. I would have to say that in addition to veggie paella and snapper ceviche being very good the pork belly was the highlight of the meal.
The cocktails were also very well done and the service was friendly if not a bit scattered due to the crowds. But this is not fine dining. It is a place to go and eat really good food with friends and relax. Highly recommend reservations on weekends. Place was full on Friday by the time we had ordered our first course.

Tapas with fantastic flavors and creativity. Great list of food friendly wines, that I never got past the whites! Octopus, Street corn, brussel sprouts, all outstanding! Gotta come back to run through the red wine by the glass list.
