What’s not to like when you need to be close to the airport. They have a shuttle, restaurant, bar, pool, exercise room.

I love a well designed room and bathroom (Room 502). The toilet and shower is separate from the sink area. The drawers and closet are across from the sink. There is a clever “tree” which conatains shelves and the makeup mirror. Clean modern design throughout. Large desk area and plenty of outlets. The only minus is that the guide to the Direct TV scrolls independently of the remote arrow keys so you have to be vigilant to see what’s on. Plus you can not see what the later programming will be.

Room service was prompt, and the steak sandwich was good. Decent exercise room. Comfortable bed. Wouldn’t know you were next to an airport. All staff were helptul and friendly.

Have stayed three times in the last 4 months. The staff is excellent across the board. The Customer Service Agents, like Sara, Meagan, Lillie go all out to make sure you have what you need when you need it and their attitude is consistently outstanding. I also had a couple dealings with engineering for minor issues, when called the come and make things just right. I like to eat at the bar, the bar tenders are excellent, food comes quick and is high quality from half pound burger to steak dinner to enchiladas. Choice for very good deserts. Good was high quality, nice king bed, can select green choice an pass up maid service for points or food credits.

Room Tip: rooms 1201-1206 quiet good view

We stayed here twice during our trip to the ABQ area. This review will cover both stays- they were both within a week.

Check-in: It was after 9 PM and yet the line was still long. There was cucumber water available in the lobby. The lobby area was cramped and crowded.

Room: We were on the Club Lounge Floors, which were 13 & 14. The room was spacious. The furniture was newer & the soft goods. You could tell by some of the soft goods & fixtures it was an older hotel that had been updated. View from the room of mountains in the distance, hotel pool, rental car returns at airport and freeways.

B/R: Nice tolitries products. Smell great, Le Grand Bain in a citrus & vetiver scent. Back of toilet was dirty. The shower had a gross, rusty panel above it. The tub would not drain during the shower- so it was a tub/shower combo in the literal sense.

Sleep quality: The bed was very squeaky and shifted around on the boxspring. There is also airport noise, so bring the earplugs. Mattress was overly firm, for me and left me sore in the morning. The sheets were scratchy.

In the morning when getting reading the water went out. There was no notice, no call to our room telling us the water was going to be shut off. I called the front desk, and was told a pipe had burst and water to the whole hotel was shut off. When finally back on the water is gross! We all know after a pipe bursts there is rust and crude in the pipes. Again no call from management to run the taps till they run clear. I had to use bottled water to brush my teeth.

Club Lounge: Was unable to eat at the Club Lounge for breakfast due to water pipes bursting.

A few days later we return to this hotel. We are upgraded to a "Suite" on the 3rd floor. This is really not an upgrade, as yes, the room is bigger but it is an unsold handicap room on a lower floor. There were several annoyances with this room, if we were staying more than a night would make it unbearable. The bathroom has very poor lighting and no additional lighted make-up mirror is provided. There is a pocket door on the bathroom and it did not close. There is only a handicap sink provided in the bathroom, so there is no place to put your make-up, they don't even have a towel bar to dry your hands. A shelf would be nice. As for the towels they are located in the closet of the bedroom. So don't forget to grab a towel before heading into the bathroom.
The light switches were difficult to find, especially in the dark, with arms full of luggage. Generally you don't walk into a pitch black room.

I understand this room is designed for those in wheelchairs. Please don't call it a Suite or an upgrade. Also, guests in wheelchairs, need to apply make-up or shave, dry their hands, turn on the lights, etc, this room is probably not designed well for anyone.

This was a quick trip to Santa Fe and the hotel is convenient to the airport. All the staff are very attentive, especially the shuttle drivers and especially Corrina. They make the transfer from the hotel-airport-car rental really easy.

I was recently there for a business meeting with BNSF and Anthony Gutierrez was tending to the conference room. He was professional, kept the room clean, and refilled the refreshments. He was very polite and made sure all our needs were met.
