I always dread descending on a hotel, or civilization in general after we have been on a cross-country adventure involving camping and outdoor adventures. We arrived with the amount of gear you would imagine is involved with camping, campfire cooking, climbing, hiking, backpacks, etc. for a family of 5. The desk staff was very welcoming to our motley crew, they offered up the sprinkler room to store our trailer hitch platform so that we did not have to navigate around town with it attached or lug it upstairs to our room.

Our room was spacious enough to store our camping gear (tent, chairs, camp stove, cooler, cooking equipment, etc.) and still be able to move around the room for our stay of several days. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable although only doubles. Plenty of counter/vanity space. Usual small bathroom area. Nice living area space.

Breakfast was great, hot food (french toast or pancakes, sausage, some sort of sandwiches, and potatoes) plus a great assortment of fruits, cereal, and breads/muffins. A couple of days it was very busy in the hotel and we had to wait briefly on clean plates or glasses, but the staff was hustling to keep things stocked and clean.

Request a room away from the airport side (quieter). Depending on the room you may be able to see the hot air balloons launch at 8 am each day!

My only real complaint, and it is common of all hotels when staying with more than a family of 4... The housekeepers only leave 4 sets of towels, even when they pick up 5 or 6 or whatever sets of towels, even when they can see and it is obvious that more than 4 people are in the room. With limited space, it isn't possible to hang up all the towels to dry and reuse them, or we would. So everyday we have to bother the desk staff for additional sets of towels. It isn't a huge problem, but a common sense thing. If 5 or 6 people are booked in a room, leave 5 or 6 sets of towels everyday, or if you pick up and remove 5 sets of towels, leave 5 sets. That way we don't have to bother the desk staff when they might be busy with other tasks.

Great Hotel! I've stayed numerous times and the rooms are always very clean and the beds are super comfortable. I would recommend staying at this hotel. It is very close to the airport and to The Pit in Albuquerque.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place near the Albuquerque airport. The room was very clean and staff were very professional and helpful. Although there were not many restaurants within walking distance, the hotel did offer a 24 hr menu service that was great. The free hot breakfast served was very tasty and many clicks above the typical free hot breakfast.

Our organization used the Hyatt Place as a base for a three-day educational bus tour of programs in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The partcipants were from ten different countries, many with limited English. The hotel's group coordinator, Chris, was helpful as we made the preliminary arrangements, and the staff were unfailingly polite and professional. The layout of the Hyatt Place rooms is convenient, with a wet bar and a desk area separate from the sleeping area. The fold-out couch offered the flexibility for three adults to share the room. There was a wide selection of breakfast options to cover all preferences. The only drawback to the location was that there are no restaurants within walking distance, but the hotel kindly provided a shuttle within five miles. Some members of the group stayed after the tour for a conference in the Convention Center and were able to use the shuttle each day. We were very appreciative of the attentive service and excellent facilities and will certainly stay in Hyatt Place hotels in the future.
