Well if you have kids who love water parks and water slides and you love good food and beautiful rooms then this is your place. We recommend paying extra for the conssierge level since it makes sense to have the free food and drinks. Our room was in the 9th floor with a grand room that had a pull out and we payed for a rolliway bed for my son. Kids are 8,10 and girl boy and we’re not interested in sharing a bed. At the end they compensate for the 30$ a night rollaway which was really nice. The food is wonderful in most of the places. We loved lunch by the pool and sometimes ordered to our chairs. Other people we met there were so nice, families from all over the west and other places like England Australia. Kids loved the slides, the Tarzan rope and the waterfall. The room was immaculate and the service people really help out daily with reservations. We took kids to do the zip line tour which was incredible. On the last day we got them to snorkel and saw giant turtles. I’m talking 600 lbs “Papa” turtle looking at you from 3 feet and wondering if you made a reservation to see him in his habitat. No brochure told me how to handle these beautiful giants.
Only negative:
The Luau was way too hot at 4pm and kids were melting in the sun. The food was good for adults but the kids loved the show, music and dancing. I only wish there was a cover to the area. (We we’re in other luaus in other islands that had a shade cover).
I wish it was not 13 hours from NY but it was really worth the travel and experience and worth every penny.

Been to Maui 6 times. This was by far the best accommodations we have had. Staff is friendly and helpful and treated our kids like they owned the place. Stayedin the Napua tower. Well worth the upgrade for free food and drink at almost all hours of the day. Pool is amazing. Only complaint is the pool is so nice you may not hang out on the beach as much as you should.

Have been going to the Grand every year for past 13 years. It is heart warming to be greeted by Carmen in the Napua club. It’s like being welcomed by family We actually look forward to seeing her. She treats us like celebrities
Drinks in the evening start with a beautiful smile from Zenith and top notch cocktails
It says a lot about a company that can keep the best employees for so long
Many thanks to Henry Tagay for the beautiful and surprise anniversary tower. We loved it. There is a reason we and so many others keep returning to the Grand. Sure you could stay somewhere for less but you could not stay anywhere else more warm and welcoming with quality care Mahalo for making our 47th wedding anniversary so special Hope to see you all next year

We absolutely loved the Grand Wailea. It's great for families and couples looking for a great honeymoon in Maui. What most guests don't realize is that there is some world class snorkeling walking / swimming distance south of the resort.

When you arrive in Maui, stop off at The Snorkle Store in Kihei and rent the gear on your way to the Grand Wailea. When you get to the GW, walk just 100' south of the property and snorkel around the rocks to some amazing coral, reef fish and sea turtles. You can start every day doing this or just once. Can't wait to come back!

This is a beautiful resort property. The property is so very well maintained; accommodations and service is excellent. The beautiful gardens, pools, ocean views and service makes a great resort destination.
