Firstly let me advise you this is NOT a luxury apartment and I will outline the reasons why:
It could do with a good makeover/refurbishment. Some of the floor tiles are chipped and cracked, some of the window blinds don’t work properly. One of the panes of glass on the small kitchen patio was cracked. The faux leather furniture is really tired and flaking, so much so that our clothes are marked with black from them. (Photos provided) The curtains are dull and dirty at the bottoms where clearly the mop has been used and left them wet and gathering more dirt .(Photos provided) The seat cover on the single chair in the room was shabby with worn through arms and frayed around the bottom complete with the same wet mop marks.(Photos provided) The rest of the furniture and fixtures are dated and look worn out. The mix and match crockery in the kitchen was tricky enough of some things not others, there were no oven gloves for the ovenware which also acts as a grill, and no other paring knives or Pyrex dishes to use in the oven or for other purposes.
There were no instructions whatsoever as to how to find things in the apartment or how to use the wi-fi, TV etc, so the guessing game and trial and error was very challenging.
The sheets on the bed were supposed to last for 2 weeks and when we asked if these were to be changed we were told that it would cost an additional €12.50 PP ( it was a double bed -so not sure how they get per person rate) so we ended up washing them ourselves. The Duvets had no covers and were absolutely filthy. (Photos provided) No pillow covers on the pillows only two had them on- and again these hadn't even got pillow protectors on them so you were sleeping directly onto stained pillows. We actually slept with towels wrapped round them (Photos provided) Towels supplied (one hand towel and one bath towel per person) were never changed nor was the apartment cleaned by the agents or the owners during the 14 days we were there. We washed the towels every other day.
We fail to understand why we have paid 150 euros for the privilege of cleaning and washing for ourselves for two weeks in what clearly is not a deluxe accommodation.
Outside on the veranda there were only two sun loungers despite being three of us in occupation and the glass table also on the veranda had food and crumb residue around the rim under the glass it was filthy.(Photo provided). If you wanted to sunbathe relax by the pool you had to lie on the floor as there are NO sun loungers or seats. We had to purchase an extra sun lounger AND some mats for going around the pool.
If you like noise well this is the place, Yapping dogs from next door but one, they are kept outdoors 24 hrs a day and the garden is full of excrement. They constantly disrupted the little peace and quiet day and night, there was also the constant sound of machinery in the neighbourhood throughout the working day as well as - 3 times a day schoolchildren and their parents passed the front of the apartment as there is a large school at the end of the road.
The only positive comments are that it is in a very secure residential complex with secure underground parking and the wi-if, once we figured it out was a decent speed. The walking distance to the beach with all the shops, bars restaurants etc is about 200 yards.
We had no contact from the agents or the owner except to ask us to leave on time on the last day, and even then the office was closed so we couldn't let them know how dissatisfied we were.
I was a little hesitant when I booked as the place hadn't been reviewed but the description on Holiday Lettings persuaded me to take a chance, so if you are considering would I recommend this place? defiantly NOT unless there are some serious improvements.
