“Perfect Stay”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Villa Marian was the perfect choice for our group. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 8 children between the ages of 6 and 12. The location of the villa was ideal for us. It is a 10 minute drive to Pego or the beaches in Oliva, 30 to Denia or Javea, and 1.5 hours to Valencia City. There are so many fun family activities in this area and many local festivals year round in the surrounding towns.
We have stayed at other villas in this development located higher up in the mountain and we prefer Villa Marian to the others because of it's location close to the road to Rafal. Higher in Montepego you will spend 20 minutes on twisting mountain roads just getting out of the development. The view is not as dramatic here at Villa Marian as some of the upper house sights, but it is still extremely beautiful and worth the convenience.
The villa is perfectly clean and well-appointed with appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, plenty of towels, wifi, television, 2 types of coffee makers, air conditioning units in bedrooms and living room) We chose this villa because of the large central gathering room, but we also enjoyed the outdoor seating and dining areas. The lower play area was nice to have. We played ping pong down there and the kids liked the play area, but the ground down there was dry rocky dirt so they had to wear shoes and it wasn't the most appealing area of the villa. There was plenty of room for us all to gather and watch the Olympics together on the big long sectional sofa indoors. The kids enjoyed the pool which was clean and well-maintained 2 times/week.
There are 3 double rooms upstairs (with black out shades -- a MUST HAVE in Spain where you tend to stay up late and sleep late in the day. And why not? You came here for vacation right?) You have to go outside to the pool area and down some more stairs to get to the 4th bedroom - which has it's own kitchenette and seating area with a futon. The 4th bedroom has black out shades but the futon area does not, in case you are planning on having a person sleep on this futon. Also the trip downstairs can be a bit tricky when wet or at night after a few glasses of fabulous Spanish wine. Be warned.
The entire villa has secure gates at the driveway and all doors and bars on the windows. The driveway is steep. We found it easier to park our cars on the road. I hope this is helpful. We love Spain. We love Alicante. We loved Villa Marian and hope to return again next year. <3

“fantastic villa in great location”
Reviewed 11 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We stayed in this villa for a week in August. The location of the villa was perfect for us. Just 10 minutes from the beeches but in a nice secluded road on the Monte Pego estate. There are shops and restaurants only 5 minutes away in Pego or Vergel.
The pool was lovely and very warm. The Vila is huge and has lots of bathrooms. Plenty of space for two family's and has all the facilities needed. It is also very secure all round with gates and fences so ideal for young children.
The owner greated us on arrival and was more than helpful at all times.
Thank you ! We would book again for sure.

“Great relaxing family villa”
Reviewed 11 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Our family (2 adults & 4 kids) stayed for 2 weeks recently. The villa more than catered for us with all the extra games available for the kids ( ping pong, basketball, outdoor connect 4 , electric dart board, football goal, board games) . Oliver was very fast at responding to any questions we had and made us feel very welcome but not over protective of his villa. The villa is superbly located being about 5 mins from Pego town with its Aldi and other large supermarkets. It has a stunning mountainside and sea view and it is possible to sit out in the evening without being eaten alive by insects! The beach Pau Pi in Oliva (about 12 Kms away) was our favourite beach although the area is abundant with great beaches. Thanks Oliver!

“amazing view”
Reviewed 15 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

My family and i had an amazing holiday. This villa is beautiful with the most fantastic view would love to wake every day to enjoy. The drive up to the villa from the main entrance got me bored (afterwards they told me I'd better use a shortcut path) but i would do it all again and do plan to go back . We found a lovely restaurant in Denia well worth a vist and the beach down there was lovely too
