Took my foodie husband to this 3 Michelin Star Restaurant, our first time at such an establishment. We had a fantastic evening. It is quite expensive but we thought it was worth evey penny. It was a totally different dining experience to anything we had ever experienced before. It was fantastic food, a work of art and theatre all at the same time. We took the "paired wine" and very much enjoyed tasting a large number of new wines. We chose the "Universo Local" menu which was over 30 different small dishes served in "6 Acts". The attention to detail in each of the dishes was just amazing. The staff were fantastic , a key part of the overall experience. We were there for over 3.5 hours and left feeling very full and extremely happy.

We went to Quique Dacosta for a Valentine's dinner. It was such an amazing experience!!! Both of us are fooding enthusiasts, but this went far beyond our expectations. We chose the avant garde Tomorrowland menu. It is a rollercoaster of 43 (!!!) small dishes of artlike food. It really is more art than food. Unusual, surprising shapes, colors and tastes in a unique, amazing presentation. Most importantly: most of them tasted divine!!!! There are no other words! Describing all 43 dishes would be too long, just look at some pics I added. E.g. there is a starter that looks like a basket filled with dark marbles. But 2 of them aren't stones, yet parmesan cheese disguised as stones. Food turned into art! Just a few out of the 43 we didn't fancy that much, but I guess you can't love everything. Chef Dacosta also came into the restaurant to greet every customer. Service was absolutely 3 Michelin star class: attentive, perfect knowledge about the food and wine, friendly but not too harassing, in brief: the way it should be in a 3 Michelin star restaurant. If you are into fooding or artlike food, you definitely should come to Quique Dacosta!!! However, if you just want to have a nice traditional dinner and don't care about experimenting with tastes and shapes, this is not the place for you. Also bear in mind that you'll spend around 4 hours in the restaurant, those 43 small dishes really fill you up and this extraordinary dining experience doesn't come cheap.
We'd love to come back!!!

We made a detour in our trip through Spain to stay in Denia for a day specifically to dine at this restaurant. There were so many great reviews of it and Youtube videos are available of some preparations of Quique's prior dishes that really convey the level of detail and work they put into every plate. Visiting this establishment first-hand was no less of a disappointment and blissfully put our palates in heaven. This is a literal dining experience. We chose the Made in the Moon menu and they made some adjustments in consideration of my expecting wife. The journey starts with drinks and snacks outside, moves indoors for the main courses, and finally finishes with a relaxing dessert and coffee back in their outdoor patio. Be prepared to spend three to four hours here since the menu includes so many courses. This was definitely worth the trip off our beaten path!

This was an amazing experience, I was lucky enough to go twice last year, once on business then I was happy to go again with my husband.... plate after plate of wierd and wonderful things, that looked like one thing but tasted like another, amazing, such a treat and actually very filling but you would expect that from over 40 dishes! Yes it is expensive but where in the UK would you eat at a 3 Mich star restaurant for the same money, I believe this restaurant now ranks 26th in the world, so go ahead, splash out.... its certainly an "experience"
