Stopped here for one night before moving towards Andalusia. Peniscola is a sea town with a beautiful old center and a castle that guards it from the top of the hill. The hotel is about 800m walking distance from the beach and the old town where the sea front street is full of bars and restaurants and all major other hotels are located. Around the hotel there is very little so you will need to walk to the beach and town. The family rooms are large and complete of kitchenette. Our looked directly on the inner pool and we could access it directly through the sliding doors of the room. The pools are two, at two different levels of the hotel, surrounded by balconies of the rooms. Both pools are unguarded and on the second floor one there is also a smaller pool for small children. They are both clean and water warm and a real treat after a day's driving. The hotel was quite despite being high season and beds comfortable, so sleeping was not an issue. Breakfast was simple with no real hot food, but with a variety of sweets. Nothing special about the restaurant too. All in all a good hotel although price is on my opinion a bit too high for the location and services it offers.
