We came. We got a room. We conquered. Herasu smells great and has balconies. You can smoke everywhere except the bed. But I'll let you do it anyways. On a serious note this place is amazing and should not be forgotten or left in left in the shadows of these bigger and capitalistic consumerist oriented hotels
A simple room, clean and fresh. The hotel is on the main road into the resort but not too noisy and it had a balcony overlooking the road. Parking was easy with a free public car park within yards of the hotel. The free lobby Wi-Fi was usable on the balcony. The management and breakfast room was opposite over the road at hotel Susi, but not a problem.
Don't get me wrong, the hotel is ok for one star. the downsides are: the not so nice staff, the fact that you had to cross the street to get for breakfast (which is: 2 slices of bread, one croissant and butter and jam. plus a coffee. that's it!), the walls are very thin and even if we whispered we could have bothered the other guests. the plus of it is that is roughly close to the beach and the main streets.
so if you want to save up some some do not do it here.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. However, this place could use an update! Everything about the room seemed old and uninviting. The sheets and curtains were old and looked like they hadn't been updated in some time. Our shower curtain was torn and was hanging on by a few threads. When we arrived the floor of our bathroom seemed like it hadn't been swept and there were hairs on the toilet and in the shower. I just got an overall gross feeling. I think with little effort this place could be updated and turned around.
La gente del hotel eran muy majos y nos ayudaron. Sin embargo, este sitio necesita renovarse un poquito. La habitación parecía viejo y poco acogedor. Las sabanas y las cortinas eran viejos y parecía que no habían sido renovados por mucho tiempo. Cuando lleguemos el suelo del baño parecía que estaba sin barrer y habían pelos en el váter y en la bañera. Simplemente tenía una sensación de asco y de estar poco cómoda. Creo que con poco esfuerzo se podía renovar el hotel y crear un sitio mucho más acogedor y con un valor mayor.
