Description: This is a popular local spot perfect for tourists, too (Concord is a big tourist town). Looks and feels like a hip diner, but the food, esp breakfast, is anything but.

Ordered a cheeseburger which they advertise as 1/3 lb. Angus but which is slider size and of tasteless meat. Big mistake which I will not make again (going to this restaurant).

One of our group likened this to a diner on Route 66, all i can say is if the food is as good as this on Route 66, i'm going!
Quaint, small, cafe style diner on Main St with a small counter at the very end near the kitchen that is reminiscent of the malt shops of old.....
We were there on a Sunday afternoon and walked into a 60% full dining room, we weren't sure where to go as no one greeted us but that's ok i walked back to the ice cream counter and was told to sit anywhere. Not sure if this is standard procedure, but there were places to sit so no worries. I would say this, if the place was full, there really isn't a lot of room to hang around and wait for a table to open up.
We sat at one of the tiny booth's that really are more suited to 2 people rather than the four we squeezed in (i'm guessing in the 1930's folks were a lot smaller then!) and began to play footsie with our opposites, we had no choice.
Our server was a mature lady that was right there when we needed her, i wouldn't say over friendly, but certainly not curt.
A substantial menu that all sounded delicious, selection wasn't helped by the specials menu that looked like it had been tailor made for me, everything sounded incredible, so in cases like this, for a first time diner at an establishment i go to the standard that all diners are measured by, the humble, good old fashioned, all American burger.
Served with choice of fries (french or sweet potato) or side salad the burger was ordered medium-well and came out more medium with red running through sections of it, it tasted great with the tomato and lettuce additions, bun was fresh and the fries were excellent.
#2 had the tuna melt with a side of coleslaw, the sandwich was plump and packed with chunky white tuna, the coleslaw was not too heavy on the mayo, in fact it seemed to be made more from a sweet vinegar a welcome treat and an excellent side to the mayo filled melt.
#3 had the chicken caesar wrap that looked fresh and crisp and was devoured with much gusto.
#4 had the special pastrami and corned beef reuben, this was a clear winner for me, served on toasted rye with slaw, Russian dressing and served with sweet potato fries, Swiss cheese wasn't quite melted so missed the five star rating.
We took a look in the dessert cabinet and walked out with a slice of blueberry pie to go, i was told by my family it was incredible, i was a little slow walking into our kitchen later that night and so missed it.......
Service, as i said was fine, place was clean, prices were excellent, all in all a very enjoyable visit, i'd really like to head back for breakfast next time, i think, or dinner, or lunch.......

We were feeling a little puckish late afternoon and stopped in for tea and dessert. The restaurant brewed ice and hot tea was great. My cherry pie a-la-mode filled the bowl. Other patrons were having regular meals and the place was busy - but homey

Chocolate milk shake frappe. Only order one and split it. Huge!
Salads are great for a light summer lunch or big burger if you are hungry. Wonderful to sit by the window and people watch and enjoy Main St. shoppers. Wait staff is very efficient and engaging. History of Helen and her husband is a great read on the back of the men. Price is right

Casual excellent local dining, salads were amazing, greens from local farms. Something for everyone, as my husband had meat and potatoes, my daughter and I had seafood and salads.
