3 stars for the hotel, 4 for the restaurant, food was nice, hotel average. Nice location, but all together .... not much to do in the winter. Stayed overnight and that was enough. Sufficient for travelling from A to B, not for a long stay. In the summer probably better.

Grazalema is a delightful unspoilt white village/small town. We spent a very happy 4 days strolling, hiking in the surrounding mountains and eating in the great value restaurants. The hotel was quiet when we were there, the view from our first floor room of the town and mountains lovely and we enjoyed some late afternoons around the pool. The bedroom was ok, clean but with too much hideous brown paint and characterless, the breakfast buffet plentiful and varied but of average quality and the staff not particularly friendly.

First of all it's the view. The hotel is located right oposite of Grazalema. But it's only 10 min. walk to the village.
The front desk was very friendly and helpfull.
The interior of the hotel is rustic and cosy.
We had room #24 wich is on the first floor. The view from the narrow balcony is overwelming on two sides. The room is spacious and clean.
A small tv is provided and free wifi.
The bathroom has a seperated toilette.
The swimmingpool is not the biggest one but it's perfect to cool down.
The restaurant has a huge panorama window where a good continental and spanish breakfast is provided.

Heading to Cadiz after landing in Malaga, we planned to spend a few days somewhere quiet chilling out - and this hotel proved to be the ideal spot, a real bargain.

The rooms all look out over the pool and the town beyond, and although it's a little old-fashioned it works well for families and other visitors who just want a bit of polite service from experienced staff, the chance to laze about the pool for a bit and a quaint town with plenty to explore just 15 minutes away.

Breakfast is robust and Spanish patrons were making the most of the traditional toast/garlic/olive oil/tomato and ham option and I was quick to follow suit, and there were custard doughnuts too.

The menu del dia option for evening meal is a good bargain, it's posted each day so you can decide whether to stay or stroll into town. It's not a fine dining experience by any means but it's very good value and there is a good selection of local wines at very reasonable prices.

We paid much more for shorter stays at hotels in bigger cities - we liked Grazelema so much that we squirrelled away a copy of the brochure detailing other similar hotels in the small chain, which we may well be examining at a later date.

A great welcome. Our request for our choice of rooms had been granted and we were off to a great start. Once again we cannot fault this wonderful hotel. The friendliness of the staff. They go all the way to make our visits memorable. We love the family feel of this place and everyone was very helpful. One of our party needed a wheelchair and everything was in place to help him get around the hotel and surrounds easily. Juan and his dining room companions were, as usual smiling and welcoming and helpful. The reception staff, the cleaners, everyone made our holiday another superb experience. We will certainly will be back next year. Si Dios quiere.

Room Tip: all have their different qualities.
