A lovely restaurant, good food, very friendly staff, sat on the terrace as we were staying above in the flamingoes apartment
so we were always looking down and decided to try it, very hilly journey

we have eaten here in the summer a few times on the terrace and allways loved the ambience. The food on the other hand has allways just been ok but the place has mad up for that. This time we tried the restaurant in the Winther sitting in side. The place was still nice - not many people though. BUT they have to do better regarding the food. the bread we had was dry. the starter we had with spider crab we had to send back as it was ineadible - if was a warm dish (sirpriced me) very heavy with a fishy not nice taste. The meat (lamb and steak) was good but the vegetables boring without imagination - except some small fries. we didnt feel like tasting the desserts.

Its such a pity they dont make nice food! Im surpriced its ny Martin berasetegui?! We ate at his wonderfull restaurant in San Sebastion. If they dont have the Cook who can pull it off - then serve good and more simple food...
Service was very nice and we didnt have to pay for the starters we didnt eat.

We really like the Veranda as a very special dinning restaurant , they use to offer a tasting menu so we called up & asked if they still did , they said there is not one on the menu but we can offer you one if you tell us in advance , so a couple of days before we wanted to go we booked a table & requested a tasting menu with wine pairing .
Last night we arrived & were greeted by the very welcoming staff and taken to our table , the restaurant was quite busy with what looked like alot of very happy diners , they confirmed we were going to have the tasting menu and asked us if we wanted to know what we were having or have a surprise when each dish arrived , we went for the latter "surprise us please " we started with a wonderful amuse bouche followed by 5 very exciting colourful courses that were full of flavour & taste , each one fully described on arrival at the table , our only complaint was the dishes were to big for so many courses about 65% of the size would have been ideal .
We had the wine pairing which gave us some great wines , served very well by the sommelier who had excellent knowledge of each wine our only complaint was his love for sherry .
The service was excellent with the food coming at a very relaxed pace as it should do .
Full marks to the chef & the whole team , looking forward to returning soon.

We have eaten in the restaurant a number of times over the many times we have stayed at the hotel. The high standard of the food served appears to have been maintained, fresh ingredients, good choice, homemade bread !! The restaurant organised a wonderful birthday treat and I was made to feel very special. Thank you !

This is, probably, the one restaurant, world-wide, that I would keep returning to. We have eaten here many times when we have visited Spain (that's over ten years now, and with multiple trips per year), and without doubt the service and food have always been first class. The setting, on the veranda of the hotel, is absolutely perfect - late evening summer warmth, sitting beneath an arbor of vines and the gentle background music from a piano (can you imagine this?) means you are totally absorbed in the moment - fantastic.
Not a lot more I can say; other than Michelle Obama thought the place good enough to stay at, and I assume, eat at - she has taste!
