We were spending the weekend at Benahavis and wanted to have a really good dinner. I read all the reviews on TA about the most rated restaurants, picked up two and went to have a look at them, they looked nice and all were full of people, but nothing special... then I spotted this place. Immaculate, beautifully decorated inside and with a lovely presented terrace on the same square as a couple of the other well known eateries. We got a lovely table and were offered a glass of cava while waiting. The food was absolutely excellent and, believe me, I am very fussy! We had a plate of Iberian jamon to share and fabulous melting away Balanchares grilled cheese with a side touch of guacamole. For the main course we had a duck breast eith roadted bananas, which was superb and succulent, and my friend had a tuna steak, which was cookef to perfection. We carried on with the cold cava as it was a very hot night, and for dessert - the lightest mango pannacotta and lemon pie (the pie was good, but heavy). I particularly want to stress how good, attentive and smiley were the stuff, especially the most wonderful waitress Eva - very special, her fellow colleague Juan Jose was very helpful as well. The total check for two - 89€, which is very reasonable for the quality of food and the service we enjoyed. Very much looking forward to returning to this great restaurant. Highly recommended!!!
