The design is very modern and high spec and of the 16 apartments on site, it's the best situated - facing the pool (so you can watch the kids) and west (so you can watch the sun set). It has a small TV, air con, a dishwasher, washing machine and a large garden.
There are lots of beautiful beaches and small villages within a short drive (the best supermarket is at Sant Anna Arresi but is shut in the afternoon, open again after 4pm - there are two others in Giba but we didn't find them as good). The manager (John/Giovanni) from the local travel agency is on Whatsapp so able to answer questions very quickly and he was super helpful. The area is full of Italians - we didn't hear many British or German accents - and therefore isn't as expensive as other parts of Sardinia.
There is no WiFi so we hired a router and had it delivered to John which worked great (unlimited 4G and devices for around €70 for a week) Two bathrooms was a bonus (we didn't realise that there were two good sized bathrooms) - shame we couldn't use the downstairs shower though. There are shutters on all windows to keep out the heat and the light. There is a small BBQ that has been assembled a bit wonkily - works fine though. Didn't notice any mosquitos!
Overall we enjoyed staying here and I would happily recommend it. These are some of the issues we didn't like so much: The voltage to the property was too low - which meant we kept blowing the mains fuse. We could only run one air conditioning unit at a time and *any other appliance* could only be turned on if we were going out. Hopefully the local municipal department is sorting this as we reported it to John (Aug 2015).
The property is ideal for a family of 4/5, so long as the kids can swim as the pool isn't fenced - and there are concrete stairs/hard tiled floors, so maybe not ideal for toddlers. The master bedroom is enormous so you could take a travel cot if you had a baby, the second bedroom has two single beds. The kitchen was lacking some basics - we had to buy a sharp knife, tongs and a tea towel, and it was difficult eating cereal without proper bowls. The bath towels were tired and the bedsheets were pilled polycotton - not pleasant to sleep on in the heat. Would be great to have pure cotton sheets here (tempted to BYO if we stay again). The rubbish has to be separated and put out on specific days, and it took a few days to establish exactly when those are.
The downstairs shower hasn't been sealed so we couldn't use it as it would flood the floor. Would be great to have a welcome pack outlining supermarkets w/ opening hours, restaurants, rubbish instructions, local festivals etc from the get-go.
