The wife and I have driven by a hundred times and always wanted to stop in. We finally made the time to do it and was not disappointed. Great wine and views was what we were looking for and that's what we got.
I took all the info and will plan a relaxing weekend soon.

Thank Jerry F

Such a wonderful view of Texas hill country! We often go out toward Johnson City to visit various wineries. We stop at the Arc de Texas often along the way! The views are amazing and I have bee very curious about renting a room there because I think it would be a wonderful family vacation!

Someone at a restaurant in Fredericksburg told us about this place and said it had gorgeous views of the Hill Country on this 2,000 acre ranch. Made all the more enjoyable with a tasting of 5 wines at $14.95/person. Adam, the resident wine expert will guide you in your selections based on your preference profile. They offer cheese and charcuterie assortments as well as a nice assortment of chocolates. The views are stunning. This place also has guest rooms for stays and another fantastic building at the other side of the property with guest rooms. We probably wouldn't stay here but it is very nice.

We have driven past it many times and always said we should stop. We finally did. I was pleasantly surprised. What I thought would be a road side tourist trap was an exceptionally good road side tourist trap. We met a couple at the wine tasting room who had the same story – they finally decided to stop.

The bartender / sommelier was a very pleasant fellow. He offered good advice on the wines as well as things to do in the surrounding area. Although we arrived too late for the tasting (630pm on a Monday), we were able to indulge in a glass of vino. The wine tasting room screamed of fine Tuscan influence. The wood was solid. There was a majestic painting in the room to give it an elegant and distinguished feel. The commode was fit for a king or queen (unisex bathroom).

After we obtained our glass of wine, we went to the observation deck. We had 360 degree views of well, I am not exactly sure. Just rolling hills. It is hill country after all. I am sure it would be a great place to watch the sunset, but it was quite cloudy on our visit.

I give this roadside attraction two thumbs up. It is well done and great place to stop for a glass of wine.

We stayed a weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning in the Louis the XIV Suite. It is advertised as being a private suite, implying that amenities are also private. They are not. You will share the elevator, which opens directly on to your floor, at the suite door. You will share the patios, the top floor viewing patio, and the pool area with whomever is "tasting" wine. They bring kids and dogs; lots of people sitting at the tables and chairs outside for hours. There's no way to use the grill or the tables outside on the patio.
