We were a large family group including 2 young children. The villa is set in large gated grounds in a quiet location near San Panteleo. As with most places in Sardinia you really need a car to get the most from it.
The villa itself is a bit of a mixed bag. The whole place is huge. The outside areas are fantastic. The gardens are well kept and the pool, bbq and terrace area are beautiful, with amazing views down to the sea. The main living areas on the first floor are homely, comfortable, very generously sized and also have fantastic views. The pool table was a nice addition.
The bedrooms are also large, but are starting to look a little tired and, in my opinion, could use some re-decoration and some new furniture/bedding. The master bedroom on the first floor was the best of the bunch. The remaining bedrooms are downstairs. Whilst these were all a good size, and all en-suite, they felt a little dank and dingy.
Notwithstanding the above, we felt very at home and this was largely due to Umberto (the villa owner) and his sister-in-law Lucrezia (who did the check-in), who were extremely helpful, providing restaurant and beach recommendations and even buying a cot for our daughter as the villa did not previously have one. When we had a problem with the plumbing (not the villa's fault, just bad luck), they sorted it out immediately. We went to the beach and by the time we got back it was fixed! They really could not have done more to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday.
In short, a lovely stay on a beautiful island. The villa is spacious and comfortable, if a little tired in places.
