Stayed at this beautiful hotel in Eastfjords last night. What a treat, it´s so well reconstructed and beautiful. The view from the room window is awesome. One of the owner is an artist and you see real art on the walls. The food is delicious and the bar is cozy.
They also have boat tours on the fjord where you can see nature wonders in the area. I highly recommend Hotel Hildibrand as a destination !!

Room Tip: choose a room with a view to the sea - over the fjord, perhaps on 3rd and 4rth floor

After driving and hiking all day a comfy bed is super important and the Hildibrand Hotel delivers! We had a nice view of the Harbor and a wonderful 2 bedroom with kitchen room. The place was spacious and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: View of the harbor

I phoned 2 days before to ask if they have vegan options and they said they make me something, I got nice dinner and good whine. The staff was very friendly and even if the place had a lot of guests it was not loud.

Highly recommend this hotel if travelling around the East coast of Iceland. Don't be put off by the outside, inside this is a very clean, spacious apartment that has a great kitchen, comfy beds and the most spectacular views.
A good restaurant and supermarket are within walking distance, and the only noise you'll get is from the fishing boats chugging out to sea.
The balcony is a real plus. Highly recommend!

This hotel was absolutely spotless. The ambiance is typically Icelandic, sleek, modern and clean, located in a beautiful, picturesque fishing village.

Our apartment was spacious and well appointed, located just steps away from a grocery, museum, fishing boat pier, swimming pool and a related great restaurant/ tavern called ' The Bait Shack'.

The view of the fjords from our balcony was amazing, allowing numerous opportunities for great photographs of the area.

Breakfast was typical Icelandic style as well, with plenty of items to chose from. You have got to try the Iceland Kaviar in a tube!

But, even with all these positives, the best was the extra special and personal service provided by this family run hotel.

We asked for and gladly received personalized services far and above the norm, and they gladly provided for us without hesitation.

If you are in the area, this is the place to stay. If you aren't in the area, you need to make a trip to be there, as this is one of those one in a million extrordindary places to be.
