Owner description: I am a stall holder on the antiques market and it is a super colourful place to work and visit. The market is on every sunday from around 8 am, there is a general markey selling local produce and many other things to tempt you. Along the Ave 4 hostages there is the antique market that is open all day, there is a variety of antiques and unique different things to look at and purchase as a souveneer from provence. Each year there are 2 INTERNATIONAL ANTIQUE FAIRS one at Easter and the other is over the 15th August each year when the whole town explodes with antiques, art and wierd and wonderful things to buy and look at. Check it out and come along you will not be dissapointed.

I love this market. You can find just about anything you want! There is produce and food stalls, a boulanger, scarves, espadrilles, ice cream, antiques, a carousel, and so much more. This is an all day event. Parking is difficult but coming a little later near lunch might give you more options.

While visiting friends in this area we came early on a Thursday morning to take in the highlights of this extensive market. We spent several hours browsing, stopping for coffee and picking up items for our “happy hour” gathering. We also found some special little gifts to take home. The lovely stream and the impressive waterwheel added to the ambiance.

The Sunday market Is a must see. Hundreds of food, clothes and market stalls and a massive antique area together with many shops, bars etc etc

Get there early as parking is a problem and stay there for lunch on waterside cafe

I loved the L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue market. We arrived there on a Thursday and as luck would have it, it is only open on Thursday. It has a little bit of everything and covers several blocks. It is in a beautiful setting with a stream running through town with waterwheels. There are also many antique shops for people that are into that type of thing.

This is a must place to visit. Do start early to avoid the crowds. We arrived at around 7.45 am and the stall keepers were just beginning to set up stalls. The place is really beautiful with clear water running in the stream filled with Long water grass that dance along with the flow. Ducks swam happily whilst the old water mill slowly turned,
Being early, we have time to banter with the good natured stall keepers and taking photos with them. People here seems happy. Maybe it’s the crisp summer air and the beautiful setting.
There were all sorts of local produce to delight the senses. There are spreads, pate to be savoured, local foods to be tasted. The air is permeated by the delightful frangrance of lavender, The riot of colours, the cacophony of stall holders and shoppers in exchange adds to the charm of this place as it gets really crowded towards lunch.
Yet there is respite by the bank of the steam which offer a stunning view of the place!
