This is a great option which links downtown to the Space Needle area. The downtown station is above the underground light rail system so one can easily get from the airport to the space needle for not much money. It is fun for all ages.

We walked from Piles Market Place to city center and took the monorail to the space needle.
A fun ride. Do this, parking is crazy at the Needle.
The Space Needle is well worth it. Caution, the line moves slowly but the views—wow.

This is a two stop monorail from Westlake to Seattle Center. It takes maybe 5’ for the ride and costs $2.50 for a one way trip.

A legacy of the World Fair, this is a fun activity for all of the family located in downtown Seattle.
Easily accessed from the Nordstrom building it takes you on a short ride to the Seattle Space Needle and parklands.
There you can visit the Space Needle or eat at one of many food outlets in the Armoury building or sit and relax in the adjacent parklands. We used the Monorail to travel too and from a concert at the Key Arena from our Downtown hotel.

Even after 56 years this is a great way to get to the Seattle Center from downtown Seattle. Our most recent experience was to go to a Jimmy Buffett concert at the Key Arena. We used the monorail both before and after the concert. Why drive and pay for parking with this great alternative?
