It is worth a trip to Gas Works Park to see the beautiful views of downtown Seattle. Especially gorgeous at night.

Hundreds of people enjoy this park daily as it is simply nice open space along the lake. It is not particularly pretty as it was an industrial site (gas works) but it has a type of charm never the less.

Nice, quite park to enjoy views of the downtown area of Seattle. Fun to watch the air-boats take off and land on the water.

We stopped at Gas Works Park for an impromptu picnic. The view of Lake Union from Gas Works Park is stunning. We went on the night of the summer solstice and the park was packed. People were skateboarding, flying kites, having picnics. It was so fun. Incidentally, this is the same Gas Works Park where they filmed the paintball scene in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You.

Visited this place today , it is park situated on shores of Lake union . It is called gas works park as it is situated on land of former Seattle Gas lite company’s gasification plant . Old gas plant structure and machinery is still there. Wonderful environment and view of lake makes you feel great. You can see Seattle beautiful skyline and may plan to see sun set here. One can spend a good amount of time and can also plan a picnic. Worth a visit.
