Such an exciting tour! Dreu was our tour guide for the day and he made the trip extremely fun! He explained the history of the area as we drove along, and he even pointed out the wildlife and vegetation. We spotted a rare Hawaiian Hawk! As the day went on we ventured towards the Valley of the Kings, where we got into four-wheel drive vehicle driven by a wonderful guide named Douglas! He was very familiar with the area and the steep terrain, and he made us feel extremely safe as we descended into the valley. The views were astonishing. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable of the area and answered many questions that we had. Not only were they super friendly, but Dreu even supplied us with granola bars and water bottles throughout day to make sure we were feeling refreshed. One of my favorites aspects of the tour was when we got to swim in our own private waterfall! The day concluded at OK Farms, which is famous for growing coffee, spices, and fruits ! We even got to taste some Lychee, a type of native fruit, and crack/eat toasted macadamia nuts. This waterfall tour is a must for first time visitors to The Big Island! I learned so much about Hawaiian culture and saw so many unforgettable sites! I would highly recommend this tour especially with these two tour guides!
