Thank you. One thing I did not like. Was there was no juice bar? The food next door was excellent. There was a waitress that went beyond hospitality. She is very professional, courteous and helpful. If I knew I was gonna do this survey, I would have got her name.And put it in this review

The bed was comfie and the pillows were nice quality. The room is small and basic, but this is expected in downtown Kona. Be forewarned, there is no coffee in the rooms. While coffee is advertised as offered in the lobby, you will be lucky to time it to where you get some. For me this was a big deal, as coffee is part of my routine, but it was not a deal breaker. Just something to be aware of. I ended up buying a cup from the outside stand, and that’s not a huge deal. As for the outside stand offerings: they are limited and they are understaffed.

Back to the hotel though. The staff were beyond friendly and efficient. Check in and check out were smooth. If you have special needs (like a blowup bed for your teenager), you can call ahead and they have it available for you. The fridge was cool, as was the AC.

All in all, they have renovated this as nicely as possible and it is a huge improvement from the previous hotel that was here. It was a great value and I will be staying again as a kama’aina who often needs to stay in Kona (coming from Hilo).
