“Adequate accommodation ”
Reviewed 3 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017
person found this review helpful

Overall I guess it was an adequate stay, the location was nice and the view was nice, but it was way to hot to leave open the sliding glass doors. The AC does not cook the room, we had it set to 67 and it never did reach that temperature. There are two ceiling fans and two portable fans we had running non stop. The unit does have a stove and all pots and pans for cooking, and has a storage closet with some beach accessories. Make sure you determine checkout time before arriving, my contract said flexible, but when I tried to negotiate a time I was told 10am. Nothing stated 10am until I checked in and saw it on the back of the door. The exterior hallway lights were out the first night which made it feel really unsafe and hard to get into the unit, but after I spoke with onsite management about it they fixed it. The shower smelled like mildew as well.

Management Response

Thank you for your feedback. We value our guests' opinions and concerns. With the large floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, it can get a bit toasty within the space. We recommend closing the sun-blocking curtains when you are out enjoying the beach, to keep the room shaded.

We have updated our check in and check out information to make things more clear. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Mahalo for choosing to stay with us during your time in Kona!
