Hum, may be the smallest town in Europe but staying at House Vera was the BIG highlight of our Croatia and Europe Trip!
This house exceeded our expectations for our group of 4 Adults. Lovely bright burst of colour against the stone of House Vera, modern kitchen with table and chairs, large lounge living area with two large bedrooms and bathroom upstairs as well as another bathroom downstairs near the entrance. To top that off there is a lovely big dining room and open fire with natural stone walls on the same level as the car port which was a favourite spot to sit in the evening sipping on Hum Biska!
Hum is well worth spending a morning or afternoon visiting the local shops, buildings & cemetary, there is a restaurant open for dinner too. House Vera also invites you to chill and relax too and we would have loved more time here as it was an easy base to visit Montovun, Groznjan and surrounds. We also had a day trip to Opatija for lunch and to walk the Lungo Mare.
We collected our car in Pula and had a quick visit to the Ampitheatre before the easy drive to Hum. Thank goodness our wonderful host, Dragan, was willing to come find us and guide us to his fantastic house as it was on dusk and the gps co-ordinates we had were incorrect. He took the time to discuss things to see and do and offer suggestions as well as welcoming us with shot of Biska!
Book House Vera and you will not be disappointed. Will be recommending to family and friends or anyone we hear planning to visit Croatia and the Istrian region.
