We had coffees here on the upstairs outside terrace during the day. Very nice view and good coffee. However..... we attended a 'Tiroler Evening' here and we have mixed views. The dancing and the dancing local costumes were very nice. The singing and the 'yodelling' was appalling.... the lady singing was so bad, I could not even begin to describe it, as was her yodelling.... Pity,. I am sure that there are people in the town of St.Johann that can sing and yodel to a reasonable standard. This was so painful to listen to, that we actually left early, which was a shame as the dancing and the costumes were great.

Great little cafe. Centre of town. Sit inside or up on balcony. They host a tyrolean evening for holiday makers. 8 or 9 euros I think. The dancers are great had us in stitches. My husband and a few other husbands/dads/sons etc were plucked out of the audience to join in at the end. Of course he was in his element " likes a laugh" so did we haha. Rewarded with a glass of local schnapps at the end. Great night.

This establishment makes superb apple strudel. They are one of the few to make it by the traditional method.

A lovely cafe where we felt completely at home so we visited again to have light lunches which were very reasonably priced. We would recommend Strammer Max (toast, ham, cheese and a fried egg) which my husband had and Hawaii Toast (a toasted sandwich of ham, cheese and pineapple). They both came with a salad garnish which was more like a full blown salad. Both meals were delicious. Drinks were inexpensive especially compared to the neighbouring town of Kitzbuehel. We never felt rushed and were happy to sit quietly in the non smoking restaurant. There is also a smoking restaurant, conservatory and roof terrace.
