The room was great, well furnished and clean; bathroom was a delight as well.
Only thing was the distance from the restaurant to room 501 and the noise from the street the first night.
The panoramic sauna with the relaxing area outside in the grass was an absolute winner.
Reataurant was great, both diner and breakfast (lots of choice, they even have someone to make you fresh scrambled eggs or something else you’d like).
We’d visit again!

Hi Dennis, thanks for your positive Feedback! It's great that you were satisfied with our service and we are pleased to hear, that you'll visit us again. Referring to the noise from the street in the first night we spoke with the owner of the bar.
We send you summerly greetings from Heiligenblut, Hannes Pichler with Family and staff

We stayed here on our way over the Grossglockner and it was the pefect spot to start that trip. We had a Junior Suite, which was perfect for us and our two kids (ages 5 and 8). Parents were upstairs (with our own bathroom and a great view of the mountains) and kids were downstairs. We splurged on the dinner (30 Euro/person) but it was a great BBQ buffet with tons of different foods that worked for all ages. Breakfast was included and it was amazing, best we’ve had on our trip so far (2.5 weeks). Overall a great place to stay in a cool little town in a beautiful setting.

A sudden decision to stay in Heiligenblut ended up in staying at this hotel. Although the hotel was only open for accommodation and breakfast. Restaurant was not open for the season yet if was a pleasant one night stay. Restaurant next to the hotel is a good substitute.
Although the room we got was on the smaller side, especially bathroom, the view was magnificent. Room was clean.
Breakfast in the morning was good.
Owner of the hotel was very friendly.
When in Heiligenblut in the future will stay
here again.

We were welcomed warmly and told we could unpack and park our car for free a couple of 100 metres down the road in a garage. But just across the street in front of the hotel's entrance door parking, there's also free parking from 5pm to 9am - which is what we used. We were shown the room we had booked. Though it had twin beds, that was about it. No desk or mini-bar as stated on the description on the website of booking.com. And as I could see, the room was absolutely not 20m², rather something like 15m². Far too small for the 150 €uros we had to pay. As I needed a desk, we asked for a room with a desk but were told this would only be possible with an upgrade to a more expensive room. Upon our request to see such a room, the lady brought us to a room that was something between 40 and 45m² which was rated only 20 €uros higher! Apart from the beds, it had a large desk, a spacious seating area with a large corner couch and a club from where we could look out the 5-metre wide window with views of the valley. Waw! This was quite a difference - though still no coffee-making facilities! Either this room was priced too low - or the first room was vastly overpriced. But no matter how beautiful and spacious this room was, the wifi-signal was disappointingly poor. I would have preferred to pay a small fee to have an adequate signal instead of something free which was useless. To get a proper connection, I had to use my own portable mifi-device. That was quite a drawback. On the positive side: the breakfast was great! Even if there were only a few other couples staying here, the choice was huge. It must be worth something in the range of 20 €uros/person. You could boil your own eggs, there was a choice of smoked salmon, several kinds of ham and salamis, cheeses, breads, croissants, chocolate breads, a great choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruits, fruit salad, you name it! Which softened somewhat the disappointment over the poor Wifi and justified the 170,- €uros we left behind here.

Room Tip: Don't book the cheapest rooms!

Dear Guest. Too bad that you were not quite satisfied with your holiday with us, as far as the price performance ratio is concerned, we have different room categories in our hostel, starting with the basic double room, a simple and small double room up to the suite.
Regarding the available WLANs a question: did you use the right network in the settings? It has often happened that guests have used FreeWifi Grossglockner instead of our Nationalparklodge Grossglockner.
We are delighted to hear that you were very satisfied with our breakfast buffet. We would like to welcome you back in our house, warm regards from Heiligenblut, Hannes Pichler with family and companions

This is simply an extraordinary place. Starting with beautiful and cosy rooms, endless wellness offer on the highest level, amazing swimming pool, gym, play room for children and outstanding views from every window. It's a perfect location to set off for a hiking or cycling tour around Grossglockner and even better one to take a rest after an exhausting day in the mountains. I have never seen a breakfast offer that various and the dinner was just delicious. Can't find any weak points of this place. Stay there, people, if you have a chance!
