This park is worth the visit. Bison (a hundred) on the road crossing in front of you. Deer. Very scenic drive through the park completely worth it. We missed the opportunity to hike the narrows type trail through the stream or scale the 60' embankment. Wish we could have hit that one.

You’d think your were in a National Park Service property and not a state park. Buffalo to see by the dozens and gorgeous scenery. Don’t overlook this great park if you are visiting Mt. Rushmore.

We took a pleasant tour of this state park stated to be the largest in USA State parks. Saw many Bisons roaming around alone or in herds. very huge animals frightening to look at. In addition saw many jungle cows and deers. There is a games lodge in this place providing accommodation to tourists. A good restaurant is available in this lodge. There are many hiking trails for hikers. The visitors welcome center provides a film show detailing the importance of this state park. Entrance fee is $ 20 per car

It was a nice drive. There had been a fire at some point, so a lot of the trees were burnt. The herds were hard to find other than the one that stopped traffic around the airport road. We only got a glimpse of the wild horses and totally missed the burros as we took one of the middle roads to see the buffalo. Very pretty. Worth the money as you can go through it as often as you want for a week.

Our visit here was awesome! We enjoyed our drive through the park and also enjoyed visiting Sylvan Lake. Our highlight was hiking the trail around Sylvan Lake with our whole family (kids from 1.5 yrs to 12 yrs). We'd love to visit again if the opportunity came up!
