Relax here after shopping at the French Market and listen to the band play. Public bathroom located at the French Market. Lots of souvenir stores, bars and restaurants nearby. Felt safe walking around at night.

Jackson Square is not only a wonderful sight to see, but also to just sit and relax, watch the people and enjoy the "ambiance" of the French Quarter. The churches, museums, shops, cafes (especially Cafe Dumonde), the riverwalk and so many vendors surround this place and is a really nice place to both start and end your tour of the day.

Not a lot to do here but cute shops. The park is pretty. Be prepared for beggers. Street band people, magicians, and tons of "palm and tarot card readers" if you believe in that stuff from people with their card board tables and chairs. Whatever it's all for entertainment I guess. There were several artists around too. Lots of options for drinks and food. Nice day.

We came by on our first day in New Orleans, but we couldn't enter the Square because NCIS: New Orleans was filming here. Got a glimpse of Scott Bakula....one of my mom's favorite actors! We went back the second day and walked around...everything is blooming for spring. It was immaculately clean and quiet...a wonderful respite from the chaos of Bourbon Street.
