We stayed at the cabin for two nights. I found the cabin to be the best value since the hotels in and around Gatlinburg did not seem very nice or were very expensive. For less money, you get to stay in your own cabin (2 bedroom-2 bath) with an awesome view. It feels secluded but there are other cabins around. It is a very quiet area.
It's an older cabin and had a strange faint smell coming from the downstairs shower drain. It was a bit warm in the bedroom, since the ceiling fan was not functioning properly because it was missing a blade, so we had to leave the door open allowing that smell from the shower drain to come in but it was nothing that would make me not want to go back. I didn't bring it to the attention of the on call maintenance man since it was not that bad. There is another room upstairs that was very spacious with another bathroom (absolutely no smells in that one). There is a pool table & TV in that room just be careful to not bump your head while playing pool.
We didn't stay in the cabin much but when we were there we loved the outdoor patio. I imagine it's even nicer when the weather is cooler.

Cabin was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. I fact we wanted to stay longer. Everything we needed was there for us to use. Decor was very nice. Very comfortable. Hot tub was very enjoyable after a long day at Dollywood or hiking. Directions and information needed was very clear and easy to understand.
Only drawbacks were that the close quarters around the pool table made play difficult. There were a couple of lights that seemed need bulbs replaced and the sink sprayer sprayed whenever the water was turned on. However, none of these things reduced the enjoyment of our stay.
great view and very quite and relaxing. wild life abounds. i love this spot and plan on staying again
A trip to the Smokey's is always a great idea, with so many options for all forms of entertainment. My wife and I chose to stay the cabin to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary, and enjoy the mountains.
Smoky's Mountain View is a cozy well equipped cabin that does meet the needs for a mountain retreat. The TV in the living area is impressive, not being familiar with the cable box was a challenge to navigate, and as advertised there is 2 Blue Ray players with Netflix on demand, although it was not set up for use. The Corn hole boards were on the back porch, but I was unable to locate any bags so we couldn't try it out. The kitchen was set up with all that we needed to use the BBQ grill and enjoy our stay. The master bedroom was comfortable as was the entire cabin. Private hot tub on the deck with a good view was a winner. There are other cabins nearby but wasn't a problem at all. The cabin is in need of a few finishing touches but all in all not bad, we enjoyed our time together and happy that we chose to try a cabin over a hotel. Hope this helps, as we read many reviews before we made our choice.
