My son really wanted to make pottery and we don’t have a place near home. Found this while visiting and they loved it! They get to make anything they like and then the shop dries and glazes it. Would definitely recommend for anyone. Wish there was an open spot for me and I would have made a piece!

What a great time we had at Fowler’s Clayworks! The staff was such a genuinely friendly, thoughtful, and talented crew, and they worked so well with all the pottery first-timers in our large group, especially with the kids. Kylie did a great job with the demonstration in the beginning, and when it came down to making our individual pieces, our half of the group had Hunter, and she was super great as well. The owner Mike was also very down-to-earth and took time to share about his experiences with us. This was easily one of the best and most fun things we did during our visit to Gatlinburg and I can’t wait to come back for round two one day. Definitely don’t miss out on this experience!!

Last year when we visited Gatlinburg, my 8 year old niece wanted to try pottery. Never expecting anyone to turn her lose with a potterry wheel for the first time, we discovered this wonderful establishment. She made 2 mugs last year and this year, a vase and a bowl. She is hooked and proclaims that we have to visit Fowler's Clay Works every year! We all enjoyed it! Highly recommend. Unique experience for a child, which isn't offered many places.

We have two girls (8 & 5) and were not sure if our youngest would do ok in the class. So we stopped by to inquire. After watching our kids mesmerised by the potter at work in the shop for 20 minutes we scheduled a class. Mike was very flexible with our schedule and did everything he could to accommodate. The class was well organised and our family had a lot of fun. It was a fantastic experience I would highly recommend! Looking forward to seeing our finished “cereal/popcorn” bowls.

Hunter did a great job! Mike and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Brought a couple pieces home with us and can't wait to get the pieces we made...
