Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The valet drivers were very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. There was one front desk clerk that was not the most helpful, and this is why I only rated it a 4. The rooms were clean, and you can't beat the location and the price.

Room tip: I would request a room with a balcony. I wish I had known that a balcony room was available.

The hotel is very unique in that it is historical and preserved. Very nice furnishings and the staff is excellent and very quick with every need you have. We enjoyed our weekend visit and hope to return soon. We learned that they are doing a renovation soon and hope that the quaintness and antique looks will remain. Very nice!

We really really enjoyed ok y we d our be stay here! It was easily in by walking distance by to all the things we wanted to be see in the historical district. The house hotel itself is dreamy. We loved the turn down service each night, and the wine and cheese downstairs each evening! It was perfect for our anniversary getaway!

Andrew at the front desk was great. Great recommendation, always incredibly friendly, simply a pleasure to deal with.
Steve, the bellhop, was a great conversationalist.
Everyone at the hotel was happy to have us there and help in any way.
The location, right on the river, was great for shopping, touring, etc.
Would not stay at any other hotel.

Room tip: Overlooking the river was loud during the day, but the views were great and it was worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Street Inn. We love historic hotels and have stayed at some that are amazing and some that are run down. This place was amazing. We had a 5th floor king room with a balcony (room 509) which was a nice sized room with a beautiful view of the river. It's an amazing vantage point to watch the barges go down the river and watch all of the activity on River Street. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom modern and spotless.

The location of this hotel is perfect. On the river street side, you are steps away from the Georgia Queen riverboat cruise, the ferry to Hutchinson Island, stops for all of the trolley tours and so many great restaurants and shops. Exit the hotel on the 4th floor to Bay Street and stroll through the beautiful streets of the historic district. The location of this place simply could not be better.

I did go down to the happy hour one of the nights and there was a nice crowd and some snacks. There is also a nice outside porch on the side where you can sit with your cocktail and people watch. It was convenient to have Tubby's located essentially in the hotel for late night drinks, snacks and some good live music. We had a great breakfast at Huey's. The food at both of them is delicious and the service is great.

This is the perfect place to stay when you visit Savannah. We were there for vacation, but it would also be perfect if you were attending a convention there as the ferry stop is right there by the hotel.

I only have two "complaints" about this hotel and neither are earth shattering. First, the entry keys are annoyingly finicky and you can be stuck at an elevator or door for quite awhile trying to get your key to turn the light green so that you can open the door or call the elevator. Second, parking is expensive which is understandable because it is obvious when you are in Savannah that there is not a lot of space for parking.

I highly recommend this hotel and will recommend it to anyone I know who is planning a visit to the beautiful city of Savannah. I hope to visit again someday and I will stay here again without question.

Thank you so much for staying with us Ann. We do have the perfect location for business or leisure and we are so pleased that you were able to enjoy our guest reception. We will be upgrading our key card system soon and hope that our guests find the updated system more to their liking. Parking is definitely difficult in such a historic city. It's not often that a city pre-dates the automobile and we hope our valet service made your parking more convenient. We hope to see you the next time you're in Savannah!
