We love staying at Planters Inn anytime we visit Savannah. It is a lovely hotel, convenient to the river walk shops and restaurants and situated on the peaceful Reynolds Square. Rooms, service, daily breakfast and wine/cheese reception are all first rate. Have never had a complaint about this hotel during our many stays over the years.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. The evening social at 530, the cookies at 830 and the complimentary water at the turndown service are very nice touches. I was however surprised that inspite of the advertised recent renovations, the mattresses were uncomfortable. In order to make the inn more competitive I would recommend mini fridges in all rooms and a modest exercise room with a treadmill and a couple of stationery bikes. Based on the location and all that is good such as the complimentary breakfast, I would likely stay again.

Loved Savanah but The Planters Inn was Very disappointing.
Clearly under staffed and inexperienced.
We arrived early and left our luggage with the bell staff for safe keeping. We came back 3 hours later and it was still sitting in the lobby unattended.
The room was small and had a terrible smell. Worst of all the room was not well cleaned. Soap and shampoo from the previous guest were still in the shower along with tissues under the bed.
We brought this to the attention of the Manager who didn’t really seem to care.
We’ll be back to Savannah but not to The Planters.

We have made Planters Inn our “go to” hotel in Savannah. Staff is friendly & very helpful.
Breakfast is hot & very good!
Location is perfect!
And, the decor, a bit of Historic Savannah.
Rooms are lovely with 4 poster beds!
And, very nice bathrooms with upscale toiletries.

my wife & i stayed at the planters inn on a two day getaway & were totally delighted w the experience. the location was conducive to site seeing by foot, the rooms tastefully decorated, the breakfast was way above average, the free daily newspapers a nice touch, the late afternoon snacks appreciated, the employees helpful & pleasant, especially valet kevin. i eagerly look forward to another visit.
