I have been to many cathedrals worldwide. This one is beautiful, and worth a fly by, but as far as cathedrals go there isn't anything particularly amazing about it. The stained glass windows are exquisite here, and the ceilings are lovely. I wouldn't travel to Savannah to see it, but if you are already in Savannah, it's worth a view, and if you are religious, stop by and say a prayer.

When we travel my husband and I love to visit the Cathedral in whatever city we are visiting. St John the Baptist Cathedral was the most beautiful, maybe next to Canterbury Cathedral, but that is an Anglican Church, not Catholic. The Altar, the canvas murals, the hand carved 3 dimensional stations of the cross, the baptismal font, the confessional booth, the architecture inside and out is remarkable. A must see for anyone.

This beautiful well maintained cathedral is a great place to cool off on a hot day. The altar, stained glass, and stations of the cross are very ornate. It's sacred.

We were unable to go inside, there was a service going on when we were there. The outside is stunning. I hope to visit the inside next time i'm in Savannah .

We visited this beautful church. The church patron was very friendly and gave us a little history of the church.
One of the most beautiful churches in the city and very welcoming. Please leave a small donation in the box as it is free and I am sure cost plenty to keep up it's splendor!
