I visited the library as I had learnt of the amazing architecture of the space. I was not disappointed. I happened to go on a day where there was a book reading taking place, so not only did I have the opportunity to admire the wonderful architecture, I also got to listen to an author read an excerpt from his book. I would recommend a tour if you are in town!

One of the most beautiful libraries I've ever seen! Worth a visit even if they're not displaying any noteworthy books. Nice to visit before or after a performance by Peabody students/staff.

This is one of the most gorgeous libraries you'll ever walk into. It's just really special and to be surrounded by books that are so old and so interesting is just a treat. It's a pity you cannot leave the ground floor and there's no-one around to talk to other than some geeky students slamming away on their keyboards, but it's still worth a visit just to see the old catalogue system typed on what looks like an old fashioned typewriter - it's really special. There's some rare books in the collection that you probably won't see anywhere else.

What a nice, refreshing place to visit. The staff was exceptional, very helpful. The atmosphere was great. And the history in the building was fascinating

Interesting staff, at a recent corporate event here we enjoyed looking at many old books and had someone on staff tell stories about the history behind the library and the book collection. Hard to park here , we did have a let parking for the event. I don’t think you can access much of the library in general we understand it is used for research
