“Great place to see a concert”

Great view and sound even from back of orchestra level. The only drawback being far back is that a lot of people in Jacksonville seem to go to a concert more for the bar and restrooms than the concert, so people walking around and coming in and out can be a real distraction. For that reason, after comparing the difference in various concerts we've attended here, I highly recommend sitting as near the front as possible. The theater itself needs a little maintenance but overall is very pretty and elegant.

This is a awesome venue for the Broadway Series shows. Just saw Lion King on Friday night and it was Great. Theater just right for floor interaction with the characters.
Not a bad seat in the house and sound is very good too.

Concerts that utilize this facility are very good too!

We are friends of the Florida Theatre and attend as many concerts as possible. Great seating, great acoustics and friendly staff. You will de searched so leave your shooting irons and knives in your vehicle. Good parking too. For 10 dollars. Kansas rocked the house for over two hours. I thought I was back in high school.

Me, my mom and my sister went to see a Sabrina Carpenter show at the Florida Theater. The venue was beautiful and the seats were amazing! We were seated on the second row of the balcony. The staff was nice and helpful and the show was great. This is a really awesome venue.

We saw Ben Harper play here from the center front balcony seats on Cinco de Mayo this year and while the show was amazing and the acoustics were just right, we had a roudy drunk group of concertgoers next to us that clearly were not interested in the show and interrupted constantly all night long. Security would not come by after alerting them to the problem until the very end of the show and still did nothing to stop the interference. When some people around us attempted to move, security was quick to force them back to their seats to continue to annoyance. Thank you theater staff for ruining such a great performance!

TIP: There is no parking available, so look for any street parking you can find as its free after 6pm. Or find a garage a few blocks away where they close up and it becomes free parking for late night events.
