We live in town and visit anytime we need a unique candy fix or want to get something cool as a gift for someone. They have a great selection of contemporary candies as well as things you might have had as a child. They also have a decent international selection if that's what you're looking for. And the staff is very helpful and friendly if you need to find something, want suggestions, etc.

Thank Christine H

I was walking around Baltimore Street, and this place looked inviting. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and cordial, and there were toys and candy everywhere. I decided to buy a few types of candy for my trip around town. The prices were reasonable for this type of shop. It was a pleasant place to stop into. I'll give it my highest rating of two rabbit ears up!!

Candy store selling candy you bag including taffies, individually wrapped caramels, etc. as well as a solid variety of nostalgic candies and unique candies. Look for truly unusual types of candies--we saw peanut butter and jelly cups, edible "satellites" with candy beads inside, coffee candies, etc. You will also find candy from other countries, especially Europe, and a variety of specialty sodas. Walkable from Lincoln Square, from the children's museum, and from the public library.

On a recent visit to Gettysburg my husband and I stopped into Sweet, not once but twice! They do have a lot of the usual candies but it was the variety of old-time treats that really make this store great. I remember as a child of the 60's when my dad would come home with a special treat, It was so exciting! As I walked around the store those special treats were everywhere and it made me remember those days. The unique sodas are also fun and they even have lunchboxes, though they no longer have those glass thermoses that would shatter when you dropped them (Oops). The husband and wife owners are delightful. We spent a lot of time one evening talking with the wife, she is so friendly and funny. She had a lot of great stories and they are both very knowledgable about all the items in the store! Make sure to stop by! Regardless of your age you will have a great time!!
