Description: With a focus on simple ingredients, Chef Annis’ menu features small, elegant bites with sophisticated flavor. The menu, inspired by fresh, local ingredients, will change on a daily basis and has been designed to include a variety of small plates rather than the multi-course offerings of sister establishment, Restaurant Sidney in East Berlin. An extensive selection of liquor, beer, wine and cordials invites guests to relax in an urban contemporary atmosphere. The expansive outdoor seating area offers a serene experience with views of the battlefield land preserved by the National Park Service.

Eaten in many of the Gettysburg restaurants and this one is the best! Found it on TA. It is on the defunct Gettysburg country club and is a great setting. Had an excellent dinner on the patio overlooking the former golf course and with the weather just right it was great. Drinks were very good, service superb and the sup/ salads were fine. It was a late dinner so we ate lite. We will return again when we are in the area.

They did not honor our reservation so they stuck us in the bar. Food was sub-par and very expensive. The wine was barely drinkable. Service was terrible. Took 30 minutes to get a menu. Go to Herr Ridge, just up the road for a great meal.

We ended up at the Sidney at Willoughby Run somewhat inadvertently, as lightning knocked out the power to the restaurant my wife had selected for my birthday getaway to a B&B and dinner. A quick search on Yelp uncovered the Sidney and the 4 1/2 stars it received convinced us to give it a try. We were a little surprised to find it was essentially the equivalent of a country club restaurant. The food was okay, but nothing memorable. I had the Cesar salad and a steak, while my wife had a cheese plate and the seared ahi tuna. It may well be the best in the area, particularly if you're looking for a step up from the national chain restaurants, but it seemed to be trying too hard and just didn't hit the mark. The service, however, was very good.

Four of us ate at Sidney for Mothers’ Day brunch buffet. We drank only tap water. The buffet had a good variety of foods, but we really only enjoyed the ham and also the greens provided for the salad. None of us could cut or chew the beef because it was so tough. It sat uneaten on our plates. Most of the foods were so over-seasoned that if we closed our eyes, we wouldn’t have known what we were eating. The “seafood pasta” had so little seafood that we had to search through it to snag any. I went up for some asparagus, but it was gone. Our used plates sat on our table so long that when we came back to the table with our desserts, we had to stack our dirty dinner plates and try to eat around them. There were too few servers to be able to be attentive to the guests. We waited a long time to get our bill paid. Our server actually apologized to us for his little attention to our table. And, get this, the price was $42 per adult guest! With tax and small tip (it really wasn’t the server’s fault) the bill for four of us was closing in on $200 (and remember, no drinks except tap water). WOW. For that price, we should have left elated, not disappointed. That will be our last trip to this restaurant.

We were visiting from Philadelphia & were happily surprised at how delicious our meals were and how professional the service was. The mashed potatoes are a must try and also, please try a piece of the lavash bread at the bar, which was just perfect. I'm assuming it's the "best place in" town because I can't imagine topping this restaurant! Enjoy.
