The AQ Rittenhouse was very clean and attractive. I have only a few suggestions for improvements. The first would be the addition of black-out drapes. The city lights are very bright at night and mini-blinds are quite inefficient for diminishing the light. The second would be to negotiate at least one parking pass. If not with the apartment complex, then with one of the parking garages. While parking was plentiful and convenient, it was also very expensive. My final comment is that a zero $ refund 30 days out is extreme. Certainly demand is sufficiently high enough that a 2/3 refund could be extended to within a week or 10 days of the intended reservation. I took the risk and am glad I did. There was almost no noise from other residents. Some noise from the city streets, but no more than expected. As others commented the duct work for the heat/air unit is quite loud. Our solution was to set the thermostat such that it did not kick on frequently and bundle up in blankets. The email three days in advance was helpful. You might add reminders for guests to bring their own seasonings. Also, the instructions to get into the building the first time were a little vague.
The quality of the accomodation is fantastic, no faults on that front whatsoever and it was a great stay however I have a real issue with the hidden cleaning fee of circa $100. Maybe a charge is okay but this is excessive ESPECIALLY when you take into account the following:
We did not get to enter the apartment until atleast 15 minutes after check-in time due to the "cleaning" and this was after requesting an early check in due to being in the city with all our luggage for hours prior.
The bath was not even clean to the touch, despite this excessive charge and delay. All we wanted was to relax after a long travel day, a delay and being $100 down.
Coffee machine hadnt been emptied either.
And finally for this $100 charge you are also expected to empty all bins yourself and put on the dishwasher before leaving.
Think this company needs to have a look at their strategy on this one as the accomodation itself is fantastic.
Really enjoyed this property! Very clean and nice to have a kitchen 2 full-size baths and living space for the days we were in Philly for a conference. The staff who worked at the facility were very helpful in calling us a cab daily and making sure all our needs were met. The view from our room and from the rooftop are exceptionally beautiful. Highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the Philadelphia area. Parking was a slight problem in that we had to park the car and couldn't get it out until the end of our visit. We took a cab everywhere we went. It didn't cost that much and by the time we would've paid parking at where we were going it was probably about the same cost and a lot less hassle. We saved so much money over getting a hotel room by renting this property. Hope you if you decide to stay you enjoyed as much as we did!
This is my 2md Stay Alfred. Consider me a loyal customer. The place was clean, beautiful, and in town.
