They must have every possible plane from ever single war we've fought there! After a few hours of walking we realized that we didn't even see half of it! So we went back after couple of months, and we will go back again! My son's favorites were flight simulators, all presidential planes that he could walk through, and the legendary Blackbird!

The museum is organized by chronology and starts off with early flight including artifacts from the Wright Brothers. The newest building has the presidential planes on display which you used to have to get tickets to take a bus into the base to go see. The museum is well done and there are free tours in each of the 4 hangers throughout the day.

My Dad spent over 27 years in the Air Force so I really wanted to come here and I am glad I did. Need to spend longer than one day so I will have to come back. The Memphis Belle is now on display .

This museum is HUGE! When you go, bring comfortable walking shoes, and block off a good chunk of time to thoroughly enjoy all the exhibits. There are 4-5 hangers filled from floor to ceiling with every type of aircraft, missile/rocket and satellite. The hangers are organized according to time frame; example: WW1/WW2, Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, Space and US Presidential Air Force One! If you wish to preview the museum, go on their website and you can do a virtual tour.

You can adventure through the museum by yourself, or take a guided tour. The folks at the front desk will let you know when they are running, and they make announcements over the PA system as well. The museum admission fee if FREE!!! If you wish to have a nice detailed map, they ask for a donation. The usual donation is $5.00. They have a restaurant inside, although I did not check that out. They have a gift shop that has a ton of neat things: clothing, books, model planes, mugs, etc.

If you are in Dayton, you should really check this place out. It is top notch, and Dayton's most popular tourist attraction.
