We stayed for two nights in a beautiful suite with balcony - perfect for our family of five. The hotel staff was lovely to us and especially our children. The location couldn’t be beat and I loved having Starbucks in the lobby. I love the original art throughout the hotel - makes staying at a Marriott feel a little more boutique.

The rooms are small and the hotel is old. The lobby is nice and very busy with tennis players from the us open
Front desk staff were very helpful especially Lisset. Gym is very hot and equipment needs maintenance.
They tried hard to keep me happy

Problems with this hotel: employees were not masked and were not professional or welcoming in their demeanor. Our room was tiny, even though we are Titanium members of Bonvoy. The room had a musty smell! We were charged a destination fee- we stay at the Westin often and never are charged a destination fee. We will not stay here again.

Room tip: Don’t stay here-if you are a Bonvoy member there are many better choices in Manhatten! Westin, Meridian are great

I've stayed at the Lexington several times and have always enjoyed staying there. My wife and I checked in 8/19/21 and upon entering the hotel we were surprised at the lack of masks on the staff in the lobby and behind the front desk. I understand that people may be vaccinated and feel that there is little risk to themselves but I cant understand how this is a good business decision. All of your guests may not be vaccinated or vaccinated but with a compromised immune system or the children yet to be vaccinated. Considering that the pandemic is still raging all around the country I would think it a better decision to mask up in an abundance of caution for the employees and the guests staying there.

The Lexington Hotel recently reopened after 14 months of pandemic related closure. We are thrilled. We stayed two nights, from Friday, August 13th to Sunday, August 15th. It’s probably our favorite NYC hotel.

Although restaurants might have pushed up prices, NYC hotels are still quite reasonably priced because business travelers and foreign tourists have been taken out of the equation. I think our rate was $151 per night.

The hotel is part of Marriott’s Autograph collection, which are the one of a kind properties. This is an older building, dating back to the early 20th century. It’s claim yo fame was having Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio as residents when they were married.

The hotel is beautiful. It’s ma) gained very well. The elevators are fast. The bedding is excellent. The staff is friendly.

One issue to be aware of is the $35/night destination amenity fee. This can normally be used as a credit in the hotel bar, but unfortunately, they are still waiting for the reinstatement of their liquor license, therefore the bar isn’t open. The fee can be used for other things like laundry service, but how many people send their laundry out at a hotel?

We like the hotel a lot, but you need to be aware of the destination charge and how you can use it.
