Our experience this past weekend couldn’t have been better! We were in town from Chicago to see Springsteen on Broadway and were also celebrating our 25th anniversary. Truly, everyone we dealt with in NYC was SO, so nice, but the Doubletree Times Square staff was extra special! With credit card at the ready, my parents called to see if some champagne could be sent to our room for when we arrived and spoke to Danny, the concierge. Upon hearing it was our anniversary, Danny not only ordered up champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, but also upgraded our room...all compliments of the hotel and at no charge to my parents! They were floored and we were blown away by the amazing views from our upgraded corner suite, overlooking Times Square from every angle! (Thoroughly enjoyed the champagne and strawberries...and of course the cookies, too!!) We never got to thank Danny in person, but are so very grateful for the extra special level of customer service. Cheers & hope to be back! ❤️

Amazing location and service , just wish rooms were more up to date.
Concierge service was top notch, front desk made us feel very welcome ... gave kids cookies! Vouchers for breakfast and the bar were a nice touch too.

Our experience at the Double Tree Times Square on Broadway was exemplary. The rooms were very comfortable, the amenities exceeded expectations and the location was great, of course. What really stood out was the staff - particularly Danny Bufano. Here is an individual that went above and beyond the call to insure that everyone had the best experience possible. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional to the extreme. He could not do enough for us and singlehandedly made our trip unforgettable. Thank you to Double Tree for allowing us the opportunity to have such a great experience, courtesy of Mr. Bufano. We will never forget this trip!

We stopped off in NYC at the tail end of a family trip. We took an express train to NYC from Stamford, Connecticut into Grand Central...very easy and convenient. The Doubletree Hilton, WOW, what a busy place smack dab in the middle of Times Square traffic. Upon checking into the hotel, the door staff was very friendly as well as check-in. The room was nice for 5 people with two double beds and a pull out couch in the separate living room and a nice view. Overall, the rooms were just fine with comfortable bedding, but a little tired and in need of some updates and better maintenance.

What I don't like is the "Mandatory" $25.00 nightly charge called a visitor tax. This covers the use of internet, coffee or basically a glass of wine in the bar. This is a ludicrous and unnecessary charge that takes advantage of visitors. To add to the dissatisfaction was an aloof, condescending and rude bartender with a chip on his shoulder. Everyone can have a bad day...he maintained this posture my entire visit. His offered minimal service, rude comments, conspicuous customer avoidance and just making it difficult for all guests to get reasonable service. In my opinion, he should simply be fired!

I would stay here again for going to shows on Broadway, etc. It's a crazy busy area with all sorts of pedestrian congestion, car traffic and noise. Personally, I prefer a less hectic location.

Room Tip: Definitely get a high floor for views and quiet

We appreciate the feedback, Kroneo.

We're disappointed your time with us at DoubleTree Time Square was less than ideal. It's unfortunate you didn't notice all fees associated with your booking. Our facilities fee allows us to offer additional amenities for all of our guests. The information regarding our facilities fee is readily available on our website, along with all third party booking platforms. We also regret that our bar service wasn't up to par and we will address this with our team.

We do hope you give us another opportunity to share a more positive experience with you soon.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Doubletree following a cruise out of Newark to Bermuda. Our suite had a large living area with bar with sink (made 2 sinks in suite) and a refrigerator and coffee maker. The bedroom and bathroom were also very spacious - unusual for NYC hotels. The closet area was a bit small, but there was plenty of drawer space and a safe in the room. The location could not have been better. Easy walk to theaters, subways, great restaurants, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick's Cathedral, Grand Central, Empire State Bldg, etc. There is a concierge who was very helpful with restaurant and subway directions. The front door of the hotel is directly across the street from the TKTS booth where you can buy greatly discounted theater tickets the day of a show. There was a doorman and always a cab at front door if needed. Times Square is a busy, busy place and can turn off some people but we were there to experience NY and this is a great place to do it. We heard no outside noise in the room other than some construction noise which is going on all over NYC. You could hear noise from the hallway from time to time. There are earplugs provided in room for people with sensitive hearing - we did not need. We found all of the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful -- and the warm chocolate chip cookies we were able to enjoy every day were a real treat. We were given $25 worth of coupons for each day of our stay to use in the breakfast, bar or restaurant. I've stayed at the highly rated and more expensive Marriott Marquis which is just across street but it was just a simple hotel room. The large, spacious suite in this great location was perfect.
