“Great theater company”

Classic Stage Company
Attraction details
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

There is a wonderful theater company not far from Union Square dedicated to the staging of great classic plays. The space is small and intimate and the productions are outstanding. I bought a subscription this past season and am so happy I did. The cost is moderate and the performances are first rate. We will be going to see the next show which is Summer and Smoke.

Was very fortunate to see Jason Sudeikis last year in Dead Poets Society. This theater is small and every seat is good. Small coffee shop at the entrance.

Love seeing shows in this intimate and comfortable theatre near Union Square. Nearly everything I have seen here has been just terrific -- with HAMLET and THE LIAR being two recent shows that were top flight.

We'd been to several shows there over the years, and were intrigued and interested enough to become members a few years ago.

It's a small intimate theater. Well located in the East Village. And the breadth of theater classics that they put up -- both those that are well known and those worthy of greater exposure -- range from
comedy to drama to musicals.

It's an Off Broadway company not to be missed.
